Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on April 13, 2017 at the age of 85 after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Loving and devoted husband of Genina Vittoria with whom he shared 54 years of marriage. Cherished father of Mario and wife Josie, Alfredo and wife Anna Maria. Proud and precious Nonno of Christian, Michaela, Massimo and Alessandro. Predeceased by his parents Francesco and Esterina Gualtieri and his father-in-law and mother-in-law Agostino and Rosina Cuconato. Dear brother of the late Salvatore & wife Giovannina, Windsor, and the late Maria & late husband Lorenzo Adamo, Italy. Special brother-in-law to the late Pino and wife Rita Solano, Italy. Loving uncle to Frank and Tony (Gianna) of Windsor; Mariella, Salvatore, and Agostino Solano (Italy); and Fr. Antonio Adamo (Italy). He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and Catholic who always lived by the motto, “Do good in this world”. He was a gentle and soft spoken man, always ready to lend a helping hand. He was a parishioner of St Angela Church and was a member of St Angela's St. Vincent de Paul Society where he served as President for many years, making weekly visits to nursing homes and helping people in need. His proudest role was that of grandfather. He loved his grandchildren dearly and spent as much time as he could with them, whether attending school functions, soccer games, hockey games or making that all important trip to deliver chicken soup when they were not feeling well. He cherished his time with his grandchildren and he left an everlasting impact of love upon them that will never be forgotten. His legacy of devotion and unconditional love to his family will carry on for generations to come.
